Wildlife Viewing and Photography in Spring

During the thaw - late winter early spring - you have the opportunity to watch the harvest and cooking of maple syrup in the vicinity of Chalets Jean-Paul. The sugar shak restaurants will serve you delicious meals from Quebec prepared with maple syrup. A unique experience typically for Quebec's regions.

.

Observe wildlife by the lake, canoe or use boats. To visit the wild nature, bike enthusiasts will use a bike path, part of the Transcanadian path, close to Chalets Jean-Paul.

Ride on the horse back through wide scenic trails. Even go for a seaplane tour!

A short or long walk or hike provides a rich wilderness experience as well as a chance to observe birds, squirrels, beavers, turtles, raccoons, waterfowl or deer in their natural setting.

Splendid “Indian Summer” in Fall

Nowhere in the world is the autumn more magnificent, are the maple trees more colorful then in Quebec. It’s during the warm first to mid October days that the color is often at its most spectacular.

The Farmers Markets are piled high with pumpkins for Halloween, late apples, preserves and dried flowers, birds start their migration south and photographers and artists just can’t stop to collect these brilliant color spectacles, this flames of colors, a patchwork quilt of yellow, red and golden maple leafs.

In other words: The perfect time of the year for an exciting, but relaxing vacation, taking pictures, painting, walking or biking and enjoying the October sun.
